I’m a recent convert to hair vitamins: but I know there’s a downside. Supplements aren’t FDA approved, they can get VERY expensive and most healthy people don’t actually need them.
But…for those of us with autoimmune conditions, hormone imbalances or chronic stress / inflammation in the body, supplements can do a lot for us: including healing our gut. And while I’d recommend seeing a professional to do specific tests, that can also get expensive.
So a hair loss supplement that includes clinically proven hair growth ingredients is a good way to start. Sure, they’ll make a monthly dent in your wallet but they’re a lot kinder on it (and your body!) than treatments like minoxidil or steroid injections.
Hair loss supplements use a holistic approach. By addressing the root cause, you have a better chance of preventing further hair shedding as well as promoting hair growth. This post will deal with some glowing NourishVita reviews…and see whether this hair loss vitamin is legit.
Emma’s ‘not a doctor’ disclaimer
Hi there, I’m an alopecian, I’m not a doctor! Any advice I give is based on my own research and personal experiences. This site is, however, reader-supported. When you buy through external links, I may earn a tiny affiliate commission. Learn more here.
NourishVita is a relatively new American company (launched in 2019) that makes a range of hair vitamin pills, gummies and treatments with targeted nutrition for hair, lashes and brows. The daily supplements are hormone-free, with natural botanicals that work like antioxidants to boost blood circulation and deliver more nutrients to the scalp.
(FYI, they also produce a natural skincare range, called NourishMax – but this post will focus on the hair vitamins and serums instead).
NourishVita are slightly different to other hair loss supplements in that they deliver a 3-in-1 approach: with the focus not just on hair growth from the scalp, but from lashes and eyebrows too. They also offer a wide range of gummies with some great natural ingredients to lower inflammation and stress in the body.
I haven’t tried NourishVita so I can’t say for sure whether it’s the best supplement for men and women out there. But I wanted to read all the NourishVita reviews to give you an accurate representation of potential hair regrowth, plus some side effects you should be aware of.
NourishVita has a dense nutritional profile, including essential fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, botanicals and various other nutrients that are reputed to support hair growth. The active ingredients in their hair growth pills include:
As a result of all these great ingredients, here are some of NourishVita’s key benefits:
Before we can expect a miraculous stop to hair shedding or increased hair growth, it’s important to care for the hair we already have – even if we don’t have much left! With its deeply moisturizing formula, thanks to natural oils and fruits, NourishVita helps to preserve existing hair: minimizing breakage and thinning to promote regrowth.
It also gives the appearance of thicker, fuller hair in the meantime – by including ingredients like keratin, collagen and biotin to boost volume. Happy days.
Good hair health comes from the scalp. If you have a dry and damaged scalp – whether it’s from hormone imbalance, a poor diet or your environment (things like pollution, sun exposure, etc), it doesn’t create the best foundation for hair growth.
NourishVita’s herbal extracts work to clear excess sebum and debris, without stripping your scalp of its natural oils. With added Vitamin A, it further hydrates the scalp and assists in hair cell development. Then, with healthier hair follicles, you get less itchiness, inflammation or irritation, plus optimal conditions for regrowth. Woohoo!
Sure, thicker hair would be amazing – as would less hair shedding and hair regrowth on existing patches. But wouldn’t stronger nails, glowing skin and lustrous lashes be a happy side effect, too? Of course it would.
With a dense nutritional profile including Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin D and a whole host of amazing B vitamins, NourishVita can give you just that – check out their skincare range, NourishMax for extra products to support your skin health. You can also snap up products for thicker hair on your lashes and brows: Nourishbrow and Nourishlash.
Each dermatologist-tested supplement includes includes key vitamins, minerals and amino acids to support healthy cell production: including Vitamin A, biotin, collagen peptides and keratin (known as the ‘building block’ for healthy hair).
These ingredients help you reduce inflammation and oxidative stress in the body by preventing damage from free radicals: which have a major impact on follicle activity. NourishVita supplements are also free from gluten, dairy, soy and sugar, making it a top choice for anyone on an anti-inflammatory diet.
Nutrafol doesn’t contain gelatin from animals, so their pills are vegan-friendly and cruelty free.
Plus, if you have any allergies or sensitivities to things like gluten (which, FYI, is common to a lot of us with autoimmune issues), then good news. NourishVita hair supplements are free from the following inflammatory foods or common allergens:
This makes the brand very attractive to me – because as someone who was previously diagnosed with gut dysbiosis and had to do an elimination diet that cut out the above foods (and more!) due to their inflammatory properties, it’s great to see a supplement that excludes them.
And it’s not easy, either – even Folexin, the supplement I recommend most on this site, contains soy. So I can’t take Folexin because I know, from that diet and the symptom-tracking I did during it, that soy triggers headaches and bloating for me, so I try to avoid it.
Of course, this won’t apply to everyone – but if you know you’ve an intolerance to any of those 5 common additives and binders, NourishVita could be a great option for you.
Although supplements in general aren’t FDA approved, these ones are made in an FDA registered facility, and the organic gummies are certified by the USDA. All NourishVIta products are halal compliant, too.
The flagship product, including all those great ingredients and benefits I mentioned above to kickstart growth and support healthy hair, skin and nails. The vegan hair vitamins are gluten-free and are also free from parabens or sulfates.
Customer reviews gush about a noticeable improvement from as little as a week – mentioning a thicker hairline, patches filling in, less hair shedding, plus an improvement in energy and mood. They almost sound too good to be true (and of course, maybe they are!) but with a much better price point than many of their competitors, these hair pills are pretty damn tempting.
A tasty version of the vitamin pills, these vegan gummies are a great way to get your sweet fix – without the sugar crash!
Including Vitamins A, C, D and E to thicken hair, lashes and brows while helping them grow faster, these gummies are perhaps easier to swallow than hair loss pills, without any gross aftertaste – just the natural fruit flavors of sweet cherry. As well as this benefit, customer reviews mention baby hairs growing back and much longer lashes after only 2 weeks.
Like the vitamin pills, the recommended dosage is 2 per day – but you can take one gummy in the morning and one in the afternoon, with or without food.
Having used Vegamour’s brow serum for my own eyebrow, which began shedding while I was pregnant and disappeared entirely in the first year postpartum, I can confirm that a good eyebrow serum can work wonders.
And while I haven’t used NourishBrow before, customer reviews are hugely positive. The conditioner serum contains super-nourishing and moisturizing ingredients like pantothenate (Vitamin B5), panthenol and green tea to promote hair growth – great for those with thinning brows from overplucking or changing hormones.
Plus, not only can the serum boost hair growth, it can actually boost the appearance of thinning eyebrows in the meantime – visibly filling sparse areas so your brows look naturally thick, full and defined.
Like the eyebrow serum, NourishLash is an all-natural formula that works to help with thinning lashes as a result of chemotherapy, hormonal changes, or hair loss causes by illness. It claims to deliver an “impressive improvement” in just 2 weeks.
The serum aims to thicken and lengthen your lashes with natural ingredients like grape stem cells, red clover, biotin and a peptide complex – without any fillers or fragrances that could cause irritation.
With more and more people losing their brows and lashes these days as a result of COVID, this could be a great addition to your bathroom cabinet.
As I entered my 50’s a couple of years ago, my hair, brows and lashes all started noticeably thinning and my hairline got wider every day. I had handfuls of hair coming out in the shower, my hairbrush was full of hair after each stroke, and I was shedding like my cat in the spring. I was getting self conscious and embarrassed. I found NourishVita as a recommend product on multiple websites. I was uneasy about wasting money on another worthless supplement, but tried it. After two months, I have fuller hair, brows and lashes, and I just realized I’ve only been taking half the recommended dosage. The new growth is amazing, and I highly recommend this product. I’m now going to try their anti-anxiety supplement!

A year ago I was suffering a lot of hair loss and was desperate because I was doing all the right things: eating healthy, exercising, taking vitamins and was still losing tons of hair every day. I am in my late 50s and was going through menopause plus getting the covid vacine I felt, caused me to lose all this hair as well. Desperately, I started to look for a solution and found this supplement that had very positive comments. After a month of taking it, I noticed I wasn’t losing as much hair as before. And after a year I am not losing any more hair and all the hair that I had lost came back, plus more brow hair and longer lashes!!! Couldn’t be happier with the results!!!

I ordered a 90 day supply to give it a fair chance. I’ve only been taking for one week but what a difference already. The texture of my hair is better and I have baby hairs sprouting around my hairline. The strangest thing is about half an hour after I take these supplants, my scalp literally starts tingling. It’s almost like it’s waking up my follicles. So I’m excited to see how the next couple months go.

As NourishVita supplements are all-natural and are not prescription strength, you’re unlikely to experience bad side effects. But of course, people may have allergies or reactions to natural ingredients, too!
It’s also worth emphasizing, ANY supplement can pose risks for those who already have excess stores of, or sensitivities to, certain vitamins or minerals. NourishVita supplements contain both zinc and copper, for example, and may not be appropriate for everyone – like those who have intrauterine devices comprising of copper. So please, check with your doctor before taking them.
Side effects may include nausea or skin rashes, for instance, if you have a biotin sensitivity or excess stores of biotin. One NourishVita review also reported skin acne after use and excess biotin can trigger breakouts in people prone to acne.
In general, these supplements claim to be completely safe: although I wouldn’t recommend them if you’re pregnant as they contain Vitamin A and excessive levels of Vitamin A could have negative effects on the foetus.
For the tablets: Take 2 capsules daily, with food and some water. You can split the dose and take one in the morning, and one in the evening, as this might be easier for digestion.
For the gummies: Take 2 gummies daily, with or without food. Take one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
The manufacturer recommends daily use for a minimum of 3 months, with best results after 6 months. After this, you can decide whether you need 1 or 2 pills or gummies daily to support healthy hair growth.
Some customers reported less hair thinning and thicker hair in just 2 weeks. For the majority, it’s around 1 month.
The supplements, gummies and serums aren’t available on Amazon – so the best place would be from the manufacturer’s website, where you can avail of great discounts and free US shipping for orders over $70. I think you can also get them in Whole Foods – but would appreciate if readers could update me on this!!
Each bottle costs $70, which is one month’s supply. However, right now they’re offering some great deals on their website, with 30% off on a single bottle and up to 55% for more. So $70 becomes $49, or much less. Nice one.
Honestly, I’m not sure. I couldn’t find anyone with anything bad to say about NourishVita, other than one customer who said their vitamin pills arrived late and another who said the packaging of the gummies was cheap and of bad quality (although they loved the contents!)
People really do seem to think they work – and quickly, in as little as 2 weeks! Now, I’m not sure if that’s actual hair growth or just the appearance of thicker hair…but hey, we’ll take what we can get, right?!
Of course, all these reviews are on the manufacturer’s website (as they don’t sell on Amazon) so they can be biased. And I couldn’t find other independent reviews on sites like Trustpilot. However, the customer reviews on platforms like TikTok, Instagram and YouTube are overwhelmingly positive.
Most importantly, I haven’t heard any complaints whatsoever about people being signed up for an autoship program and being unable to cancel – a common complaint about bigger brands, like Nutrafol. (Psst…check out my comparison post between the two here.)
So maybe NourishVita really ARE all they’re cracked up to be. But I’d love to hear from you – have you tried NourishVita products? Did they work for you? Get sharing below!
